Job summary

The Michaels Companies store in Phoenix is hiring a part-time Event Host to plan and coordinate in-store events including children’s birthday parties. You will engage guests of all ages, demonstrate crafts, and support add-ons like goody bags and balloons to meet brand standards.

Role requires energy, excellent people skills, and experience with children. You’ll assist customers, manage orders, and maintain store cleanliness while supporting event execution and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent people skills and strong communication abilities.
• Experience working with children and managing kids’ events is preferred.
• Retail or customer service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at Michaels stores, including kids parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and teach craft activities; perform face painting and related activities.
