Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator to plan, coordinate and deliver engaging store events and children’s parties. You will work with guests of all ages to create a fun, safe, and memorable experience while ensuring smooth store operations and checkout processes.

You will assist with crafting activities, demonstrations, and party add-ons, while collaborating with the store team to maintain cleanliness, safety, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Energetic and personable candidate with strong people skills.
• Experience working with children and children’s events is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, nonverbal) and ability to handle stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (children’s birthday parties and crafts) within a Michaels store.
• Provide friendly customer service and assist shoppers in-store and at checkout.
• Engage clients of all ages with a fun, creative, and safe environment.
• Demonstrate crafts, lead activities, and offer party add-ons such as balloons and goody bags.
• Communicate event details to clients and store team; manage emails and calls.
