Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an in-store Event Coordinator at the King of Prussia location to plan, coordinate, and run family-friendly events and classes. You will deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and manage event logistics from set-up to wrap-up.

You’ll engage guests of all ages, teach craft activities, and drive add-on sales while ensuring safety and brand standards are met in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once within a Michaels store.
• Engage clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct party activities; provide face painting and other activities.
• Arrange add-ons (goody bags, balloons) per company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Handle administrative tasks (emails, calls, paperwork).
• Adapt plans based on client feedback and needs; ensure customer satisfaction.
• Set up, break down, and maintain store safety and cleanliness during events.
