Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in York, PA is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and coordinate in-store events, including kids' birthday parties, crafts classes, and other activities.

You will engage customers, assist with shopping, and provide fast checkout while maintaining store standards and safety. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a passion for customer service; experience with children’s events is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events in-store (kid birthdays, crafts classes).
• Engage clients of all ages, creating a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants; perform face painting and activities.
• Coordinate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) per company standards.
• Interact with customers and store team; handle emails and calls as needed.
