Job summary

Michaels Stores in Greeley, CO is seeking an Events Coordinator to plan, coordinate and facilitate in-store events such as kids' birthday parties and craft classes. You will deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop, and ensure fast checkout while maintaining store standards.

You’ll engage with clients of all ages, instruct participants, manage add-ons like goody bags and balloons, and handle admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities.
• Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.
• Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards. Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Engage customers on Rewards program enrollments and Private Label Credit Cards.
