Job summary

The Consortium is seeking a Creative and Media Workflow Project Manager to review, schedule, assign, and traffic creative and paid advertising requests. You will work with the Creative Services team to manage design resources for national campaigns, events, and local state office initiatives in Washington, D.C.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in a studio or agency, plus strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of experience in a studio, agency or in-house department that supports high volume creative development.
  • Knowledge of creative production, design complexity and resource management experience
  • Experience using workflow tools and troubleshooting system questions/problems
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Strong project/time management skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to analyze problems, assess possible solutions, and make decisions to keep projects moving
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; strong client service orientation
  • Proficient in Word and Excel, and ability to quickly learn internal processing/tracking systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills to work collaboratively across multiple teams
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the first point of contact for creative and media requests for national programs and local initiatives managed by state offices.
  • Reviews projects to determine completeness, appropriate timelines, and need for additional consultation; negotiates timelines.
  • Partners with Creative Services to determine project complexity, monitor resources, and schedule assignments.
  • Initial reviewer for paid advertising and sponsorship requests before assigning to media processing.
  • Assigns and tracks the flow of projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Provides superior customer support and troubleshoots process or technical issues.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements to streamline workflows.
  • Traffics final artwork to media outlets meeting delivery specifications.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job description

The Creative and Media Workflow Project Manager reviews, schedules, assigns, and traffics creative and paid advertising requests, ensuring each request includes the required content and assets and is delivered on time. The role works closely with the internal Creative Services team to manage design resources and assignments for a high volume of projects supporting national campaigns, events, and local initiatives for state offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the first point of contact for creative and media requests in support of national programs, campaigns or events, and local initiatives managed by state offices.
  • Reviews and assesses projects to determine if requests are complete, timelines are appropriate, and/or additional consultation is required. Troubleshoots as necessary to secure additional information, provide recommendations or guidance, refer to colleagues for subject matter expertise, and/or negotiate timelines.
  • Partners with the Creative Services team to determine project complexity, monitor changing resource constraints/availability and schedule assignments accordingly.
  • Serves as the initial reviewer for paid advertising and sponsorship requests to confirm information is complete prior to assigning to the media processing team.
  • Assigns and tracks the flow of projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Provides superior customer support and troubleshoots any process or technical issues.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements to streamline the project workflows.
  • Traffics final artwork to media outlets and confirms assets meet all final delivery specifications.
  • Other duties as assigned

Candidate should be local to Washington D.C. and able to come into the office as needed (for training 3 days in office, then after training ideally at least once a week)
