Job summary

The Consortium is seeking a detail-oriented project coordinator to support the Public Policy Institute. The role combines project coordination, business operations, and administrative support across ongoing and special initiatives.

You will help prepare annual work plans and budgets, maintain operational processes, and provide meeting logistics, scheduling, summaries, and action tracking. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint is essential, with strong written and verbal communication

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality, professional work products.
  • Comfort in a dynamic work environment and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Support preparation of the annual work plan proposal and budget authorization materials
  • Create, update, and maintain operational processes and work plans
  • Provide meeting support: scheduling, agendas, summaries, and action-item tracking
  • Develop and maintain content for internal SharePoint sites
  • Provide event management support for both virtual and in-person events
  • Prepare PowerPoint slides and talking points for speaking engagements
  • Manage calendars, meeting logistics, reimbursements, travel, invoices, and procurement
  • Draft memos and other internal documents; perform other duties as assigned

Job description

Remote M and F, on site in Washington, DC the T, W, Th. Possibility to extend into 2027.

This assignment provides project coordination, business operations, and administrative support to the Public Policy Institute, including the following responsibilities:

  • Support preparation of the annual work plan proposal and budget authorization materials
  • Create, update, and maintain operational processes and work plans to support ongoing operations, special projects, and evolving business needs
  • Provide meeting support, including scheduling, agenda development, meeting summaries, and action-item tracking for follow-up
  • Develop and maintain content for internal SharePoint sites
  • Provide event management support for both virtual and in-person events
  • Provide speaking engagement and presentation support, including preparing PowerPoint slides and talking points
  • Manage administrative tasks such as calendar coordination, meeting logistics, expense reimbursements, travel arrangements, invoice processing, and procurement activities.
  • Draft memos and other internal documents as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and three to five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience related to the duties of the position
  • Knowledge of and interest in business operations or related areas
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, professional work products
  • Comfort working within a dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams and with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and electronic communications tools and platforms
