Job summary

The Manitowoc Company, at the Kansas City MGX Equipment Services branch, seeks a Shop Crane Technician trainee reporting to the Service Manager. The role offers hands-on learning and opportunities to work with skilled technicians.

Pay range is $25.00–$30.00 per hour for non-bargaining staff, with bi-weekly pay. Sign-on bonus of $2,500 after 90 days and tool reimbursement up to $1,500 per calendar year are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; general laborer/yard work in construction or heavy equipment preferred.
• Mechanical background with electrical and hydraulics experience.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Willingness to travel to other locations for cross-training.

Responsibilities

• Assumes basic job assignments to learn the responsibilities of a Shop Crane Technician under the guidance of the Service Manager and other shop technicians.
• Helps shop techs perform inspections and repairs.
• Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.
• Other duties as assigned.
