Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC seeks a Technical Service Manager for Crane Technicians to lead a team of crane technicians, coordinate projects, and ensure safety and quality in service delivery. The role includes onsite troubleshooting, mentorship, and collaboration with the Service Manager to optimize resources and margins.

This position requires travel to customer sites, hands-on technical coaching, and strong leadership to drive ongoing improvements in crane maintenance and repair operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Minimum 5 years in overhead crane service.
• College diploma in Electro-Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with crane systems and components.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as a coach and mentor for technicians by providing onsite, hands-on training.
• Offer technical guidance during troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues.
• Perform onsite crane service tasks and participate in on-call rotations.
• Assist the Service Manager in assigning technicians to jobs based on skills.
• Ensure work is performed within estimated parameters and preserve gross margin.
• Participate in 1:1 meetings and support disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Maintain customer relationships and support overhead crane service sales.
• Prepare quotations and address inspection deficiencies as required.
• Conduct onsite visits to gather information for quotations and PO progression.
• Prepare scope of work for Mod and upgrade projects.
