Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group is seeking a Senior Technician to lead and perform modernization, repair, and maintenance of cranes and hoists in the field. You will troubleshoot complex problems, coordinate with management, and mentor other field technicians.

This role requires on-call availability, strong safety discipline, and effective customer communication. The Senior Technician will travel to customer sites, conduct inspections, and execute upgrades as needed, with opportunities to train

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years crane repair and maintenance experience required.
• At least 3-4 years electrical and/or mechanical experience in lieu of crane repair.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must communicate well and work independently or as a team.
• Basic computer skills to operate crane inspection programs.

Responsibilities

• Be on-call and provide after-hours services as required.
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes in the field.
• Train and mentor field technicians.
• Perform OSHA crane inspections and generate inspection reports.
• Communicate with Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule work daily.
• Advise customers on repair and safety-related improvements.
• Maintain company equipment, vehicles, and assets in safe condition.
• Operate tools and vehicles safely; report deficiencies to supervisor.
• Keep supply of forms and materials in the vehicle; work in a team or independently.
• Attend trainings and participate in the 5 Marks program; perform other duties as assigned.
