Job summary

Michaels Temple, PA is seeking an energetic events coordinator to plan and manage multiple in-store events, including children’s birthday parties and crafts classes. You will engage with guests of all ages, run activities, and ensure a fun, safe, and organized environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating add-ons, handling communications with clients and team, performing administrative tasks, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety before and after events.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent people skills.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Must have good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills.
• Must have organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events at a Michaels store, including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages and create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons (goody bags, balloons, etc.) to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; handle administrative tasks as needed.
• Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event; uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
