Job summary

Michaels in Aurora, OH is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-store events including kids' birthday parties. You will deliver friendly customer service, help guests shop, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout while maintaining store recovery standards.

Responsibilities include planning multiple events, engaging clients of all ages, instructing craft projects, managing add-ons, handling emails and calls, and adapting plans to feedback.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate in-store events including kids' birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with customers of all ages and provide solutions to shopping needs.
• Instruct participants in crafts and manage party add-ons (balloons, goody bags).
• Answer emails and make phone calls; manage event communications with clients and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and SOP compliance; support stock and planogram processes.
