Job summary

Michaels Woodbury, NY store is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and execute in-store events including kids' parties, crafts classes, and other activities, delivering a fun, engaging guest experience. You will assist customers, run checkout, stock, and perform store recovery, while coordinating with store teammates and clients, managing emails and calls.

The role requires energy, excellent people skills, experience with children’s events, strong communication, and the ability to adapt plans;

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events at the Michaels Woodbury store, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with customers, help them shop, locate products and provide solutions.
• Manage checkout, rewards program enrollments, and omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS).
• Assist with stocking, planograms, and store recovery tasks.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; ensure safety and cleanliness.
