Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Tacoma seeks an energetic events coordinator to plan and execute multiple events, including children’s birthday parties, while delivering friendly customer service and maintaining store standards.

You will coordinate planning, communicate with clients and staff, handle checkouts, and ensure safety and cleanliness during events, with the goal of a stress-free, fun experience for guests of all ages.

Qualifications

• Must be energetic and enthusiastic with strong people skills.
• Experience working with children and organizing events is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone, and in writing.
• Retail or customer service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events at the Michaels store, including kids' birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with guests to create a fun, stress-free environment.
• Help customers shop, assist with checkout, and enroll in Rewards or Private Label Credit Cards.
• Assist with stock, store cleanliness, and SOP adherence.
