Job summary

Michaels in Brick, NJ is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator to plan and coordinate children’s parties and in-store events while delivering a stress-free and engaging experience for guests.

You will assist customers, process checkouts, promote Rewards and credit programs, and support store operations such as stocking and planograms. The role requires strong people skills and experience with children’s events.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent people skills and experience delivering friendly customer service.
• Experience planning and coordinating events, especially for children.
• Ability to communicate clearly in person and via email/phone.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events (birthdays and craft classes) within the Michaels store.
• Engage with guests of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Assist customers in locating products and provide solutions at checkout.
• Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll customers.
• Support store operations including truck unload, stocking, and planograms.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and SOP compliance throughout shifts.
