Job summary

Michaels in Bayonne, NJ is seeking an energetic events coordinator to plan and coordinate multiple events, including children’s birthday parties, within the store. You will engage guests of all ages and demonstrate craft projects while guiding participants through activities.

You will handle customer experience tasks, checkout support, rewards enrollments, and omnichannel processes while maintaining store cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages by creating a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate, instruct, and supervise craft activities; perform face painting and similar duties.
• Manage add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; complete administrative tasks as needed.
• Adapt plans based on client feedback and prepare backup plans; ensure client satisfaction.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards; set up, break down, and clean after events.
• Customer experience duties: assist shoppers, provide solutions, and support checkout.
• Explain Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards; support BOPIS/SFS processes and stocking duties.
