Job summary

Michaels in North Brunswick Township, NJ is seeking an energetic events coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including children’s parties, while delivering fast, friendly checkout and excellent customer service.

You will coordinate multiple events, engage customers of all ages, and support omni-channel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS). A background in retail or customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience required.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Excellent people skills.
• Must have good communication skills (written, verbal, and nonverbal).
• Must have organizational skills and creative problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events in-store (e.g., children’s birthday parties and other craft events).
• Engage with customers of all ages to provide solutions and assist with purchases.
• Demonstrate and guide participants in craft projects and activities.
• Handle event add-ons (goody bags, balloons) per company standards.
• Assist with store communications and administrative tasks (emails, calls, paperwork).
• Maintain store standards of cleanliness and safety; handle setup and breakdown of events.
