Job summary

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is seeking a Market Development Representative to grow sales and market share in the greater Houston area. The role focuses on executing Sierra Nevada brands in key on- and off-premise accounts with about 90% time on execution, including promotions and displays.

The base compensation ranges from $59,439 to $89,158, with eligibility for a bonus program. Comprehensive benefits including 401(k) with match, medical/dental/vision, onsite clinic, paid time off, and wellness

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or any combination of education and/or experience achieving comparable knowledge/skills is required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2 years business-to-business sales experience preferred.
• Previous sales experience in the alcohol beverage industry preferred.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of state and federal liquor laws.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve company goals in volume, distribution and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Call on existing account base within area to obtain new distribution and promote Sierra Nevada brands.
• Identify and solicit new business and retail opportunities to increase volume and market share.
• Ensure proper merchandising of product and POS materials within area per brand standards.
• Conduct staff trainings, beer tastings and other events as needed.
• Coordinate on- and off-premise displays and promotions to improve visibility.
• Provide exceptional service to assigned accounts to become their preferred supplier.
• Work within brewery and budget guidelines.
• Submit reports on area and market information to management and wholesalers.
• Coordinate events and promotions to raise brand awareness and sales.
