Job summary

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is seeking a Market Development Representative to grow sales and market share in the Houston area. The role focuses on executing Sierra Nevada brands in key on- and off-premise accounts, with roughly 90% of time spent on in-market execution.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or combination of education/experience for knowledge and abilities required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2 years B2B sales experience preferred.
• Previous sales experience in the alcohol beverage industry preferred.
• Ability to learn and apply in depth knowledge of state and federal liquor laws.
• Demonstrated ability to meet business plan goals: volume, distribution, profitability.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Knowledge of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.'s history, culture and product.

Responsibilities

• Call on existing account base within area to obtain new distribution, execute promotional activity and increase market share.
• Identify and solicit new business and retail opportunities to increase volume, distribution, and share within the assigned area.
• Ensure proper merchandising of product and POS materials within area and according to brand standards.
• Conduct staff educations, beer tastings and other events as needed.
• On- and Off-Premise: securing displays, ensuring beer placement, closing gaps, checking quality and POS support.
• Provide exceptional service to assigned accounts with the goal of becoming their preferred supplier.
• Operate effectively within the brewery and budgetary guidelines.
• Compile and submit reports on assigned area and general market information to management team and wholesaler.
• Coordinate events and promotions to deliver greater brand awareness and stimulate sales.
• Execute monthly National Account opportunities.
