Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Beer Den Host to manage beer selection, tastings, and guest interactions in-store. You will inventory Beer Den supplies, coordinate with distributors, train hosts, and ensure compliance with state alcohol laws while driving beer and growler sales.

Qualifications

• Working understanding of beer and product attributes.
• Familiar with ALE laws governing sell and purchasing of wine products.
• Sales-minded with effective communication and guest service skills.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Self-motivated and trustworthy, able to follow guidelines.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication with Store Manager, DSD Receiver and vendors.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 30lbs consistently and 60lbs occasionally.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Order and maintain inventory of Beer Den supplies.
• Order and maintain inventory of draught beer.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributor/wholesaler partners and brewery sales reps.
• Schedule events such as tap takeovers and conduct tastings.
• Assist with inventory and follow proper inventory practices.
• Train Beer Den Hosts on operating procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance on Beer Den equipment.
• Drive packaged beer and growler sales; manage displays and pricing.
• Prepare weekly update for Beer Den guests (What’s Tappening).
• Attend education and branding events scheduled by Category Manager of Beer and Wine.
• Educate guests on product attributes and guidance for needs.
