Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Beer Den Host to grow guest loyalty through personal interactions and brand-aligned experiences. You will manage beer-related inventory, conduct tastings, and drive packaged beer and growler sales in-store.

The role requires knowledge of beer, compliance with ALE laws, strong communication, and a friendly team mindset. 21+ years old and ability to lift 30 lbs regularly are expected. A discount and benefits package accompany weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Working understanding of beer.
• Is familiar with ALE laws governing sell, and purchasing of wine products.
• Sales minded with effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Self-motivated, trustworthy and able to adhere to all guidelines.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Ability to effectively communicate with Store Manager, DSD Receiver and vendors.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift 30lbs. consistently and 60lbs. occasionally.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Beer Den inventory and ensure accurate stock levels.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributor/wholesaler partners and direct sales associates.
• Schedule events such as tap takeovers and conduct tastings.
• Train Beer Den Hosts on operating procedures.
• Drive beer and growler sales; manage displays and pricing with distributors.
• Complete weekly communication piece “What’s Tappening” by Wednesday 5PM.
• Attend education and branding events scheduled by Category Manager for Beer and Wine.
• Educate guests on product attributes and provide guidance for needs.
