Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Beer Den Host to manage the Beer Den area, drive beer and growler sales, educate guests, and coordinate events. You will maintain inventory, train hosts, and ensure compliance with state laws while collaborating with distributors and store leadership.

The role involves engaging guests, managing displays, and executing tastings and promotions to enhance the in-store experience and grow revenue for the Beer and Wine category.

Qualifications

• Beer knowledge and familiar with ALE laws governing sale and purchasing.
• Strong sales, communication, and guest-service skills.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Self-motivated, trustworthy and able to follow guidelines.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Order and maintain inventory of Beer Den supplies and draught beer.
• Build relationships with distributor/wholesaler partners and brewery reps.
• Plan and host events such as tap takeovers and tastings.
• Assist with inventory practices and training of Beer Den Hosts.
• Maintain Beer Den equipment and sanitation, including growlers.
• Drive packaged beer and growler sales; manage displays and pricing.
• Produce weekly communications like What's Tappening for guests.
• Attend education and branding events for Beer and Wine category.
• Educate guests on product attributes and guide preferences.
• Ensure materials, signage and flyers are properly displayed.
• Maintain sanitation and appearance of Beer Den and prep growlers.
• Follow state laws governing sampling, sale and purchasing of beer.
• Fill growlers to guest requests following standards.
• Announce specials and sale information on PA system.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
