Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Proposal Writer to support Corporate Payment Systems by crafting responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and related documents for external clients.

You will collaborate with sales, relationship managers, and SMEs to deliver accurate, competitive proposals under tight deadlines. The role requires strong writing, editing, and presentation skills, with experience in pricing integration and familiarity with proposal tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Three to five years of business writing experience in sales support, proposal generation, marketing, communications, publishing or print media.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively on unfamiliar topics to elicit technical and program information necessary to answer client questions.
• Ability to quickly assimilate new information regarding specific product and technical topics and write accurately about those topics or concepts immediately after introduction.
• Possesses technical ability to adapt to proposal tools and software used by the company.
• Strong organizational skills and an eye for presentation and details.
• Ability to manage routine administrative tasks.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects.
• Proficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Write responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs and pricing proposals under tight deadlines.
• Coordinate projects with sales representatives and relationship managers.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, finance, and subject matter experts to update proposals.
• Ensure pricing is integrated into formal proposal documents.
• Manage multiple proposals from start to finish.
