Job summary

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) seeks a Human Services Technician to assist CPI teams, transport clients, supervise visits, and handle administrative duties. You will work with caseworkers and the public to support safety and service delivery.

Responsibilities include documenting services, scheduling, and collaborating across units; candidates must be reliable, organized, and capable of travel up to 75%. A valid Texas driver’s license and driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• One year of full-time social services, clerical, or administrative support experience.
• Substitutions: thirty semester hours from a college or university.

Responsibilities

• Assist agency staff in CPI cases, including transportation and documentation.
• Supervise parent-child visitations and perform clerical tasks.
• Maintain appointment calendars and data entry in IMPACT and related systems.
• Provide respectful service and support to diverse populations.
• Travel to Homes and offices as required to support cases.
