Job summary

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) seeks a Human Services Technician to assist CPS cases, including transportation, supervising visits, and clerical duties. You will interact with DFPS staff and community partners, handling data entry and scheduling to support unit operations.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and may substitute 30 college hours. The role requires up to 75% travel and regular in-person work in Gilmer, TX.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Child Protective Services and community resources.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with others.
• Ability to supervise children of varying ages in office/field settings.
• Proficiency with PCs, software, and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for clients to appointments as requested by caseworkers.
• Observe/supervise parent and child visits.
• Complete forms and document client contacts in agency systems.
