Job summary

VAA is seeking a Project Controls Scheduler II to develop and maintain CPM schedules for engineering and construction projects. You will create baselines in Primavera Cloud and MS Project, coordinate inputs from project teams, and monitor progress to produce regular reports.

You will analyze critical paths, develop mitigation plans, and integrate schedules with budgets and staffing. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in construction management, engineering technology, project controls, or a related field; minimum of 3 years of CPM scheduling experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining CPM schedules for engineering or construction projects.
• Ability to coordinate with project teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update CPM schedules for engineering projects.
• Create baseline schedules using Primavera Cloud and Microsoft Project, including milestones, logic, calendars, constraints, and resources.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, discipline leads, clients, contractors, and subcontractors to obtain inputs and maintain accuracy.
• Analyze schedules to identify critical activities and potential delays.
• Monitor progress and prepare weekly/monthly schedule performance reports.
• Develop recovery, acceleration, and mitigation plans for delays or variances.
• Interface schedules with budgets, labor forecasts, and staffing plans.
• Facilitate schedule review meetings and communicate status and recommendations.
• Perform schedule impact analyses for scope changes and change orders.
• Maintain milestone trackers, look-ahead schedules, dashboards, and executive reporting.
• Support resource planning across multiple concurrent projects.
• Mentor project team members on CPM principles and best practices.
• Assist with schedule claim analysis and delay studies as needed.
• Up to 10% travel to job sites or client offices.
