Job summary

CEC is seeking a Project Scheduler 2 to develop and manage schedules for projects and create templates for field use. You will assist project managers with coordinating tasks, monitoring timelines, and identifying delays, while training foremen, superintendents, APMs and PMs on the new forms and processes.

The role requires five years of Primavera P6 experience on large construction projects, strong communication, and the ability to analyze data for management reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Five years of P6 experience in medium to large-sized construction projects.
• Large capital construction projects experience.
• Schedule management experience and integrating multiple schedules.
• Certification with AACE, PMI or CMAA is preferred.
• Proficient use of MS Excel and/or database systems.

Responsibilities

• Supports the project team, and stakeholders on managing schedules for a successful project delivery.
• Work directly with schedulers from the various general contractors and design-build teams to monitor schedule risk.
• Maintain the overall milestone program and ensure milestone definitions are written and agreed upon by stakeholders.
• Determine reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussion with task owners and/or teams.
• Evaluate critical and near critical path activity sequences and coordinate reviews with all stakeholders.
• Analyze schedule reports/indicators created and delivered per the project execution plan.
• Identify major milestones, critical approvals, and long lead procurement items.
• Assess actual progress based on site inspections and validate reporting against the schedule.
• Identify schedule changes, gaps, and trends and proactively resolve issues.
• Monitor and report schedule deliverables; present status to stakeholders and support float recovery.
• Suggest corrective actions and/or develop recovery plans when delays occur.
• Understand integration points of multiple projects and ensure schedules support each other.
• Prepare and present consolidated progress reports to management.
• Provide what-if schedules to project as needed.
• Provide lessons learned throughout the project.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient processes.
