Job summary

Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team. This role drives month-end, quarter-end, and annual close, supports consolidated reporting and audit readiness, and partners across FP&A, Revenue, Tax, Treasury, and IT.

The role is US-based remote, aligned to Eastern Time hours, with exposure to multiple currencies and entities. Strong GAAP knowledge and CPA certification are preferred for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA certification.
• Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with corporate accounting, public accounting, or a mix.
• Hands-on experience with month-end and quarter-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and roll forwards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and analytic problem solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across corporate workstreams.
• Assist with financial statement preparation, tables, footnotes, and schedules.
• Ensure audit-ready documentation and financial statement support.
• Consolidate multi-entity results, currency translation, and intercompany eliminations.
• Coordinate close calls, track deadlines, and address bottlenecks.
• Support administration of Oracle, Blackline, and Lease Accelerator; troubleshoot issues.
