Job summary

Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team. This role will support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, consolidated financial reporting, audit support, and administration of key accounting systems and controls.

The position is US-based remote, aligned with Eastern Time Zone hours, and collaborates across FP&A, Revenue, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and IT to drive accurate, timely financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA certification.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience in corporate or public accounting.
• Hands-on with month-end/quarter-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, roll forwards, and supporting schedules.
• Strong Excel, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Assist with financial statement preparation, footnotes, schedules, and tie-outs.
• Ensure audit-ready financial statement support and documentation.
• Coordinate consolidation across multiple entities and currencies, including intercompany eliminations.
• Lead close calls and monitor deadlines; follow up on outstanding items.
• Support administration of Oracle, Blackline, and Lease Accelerator and troubleshoot system issues.
