Job summary

Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team. This role will support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, consolidated financial reporting, audit support, and administration of key accounting systems.

The Senior Accountant will coordinate with FP&A, Revenue, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Shared Services. This US-based remote role requires ET hours and a strong accounting foundation in US GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification is required.
• Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with month-end and quarter-end close processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and roll forwards.
• Proficient in Excel; strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and manage multiple deadlines, driving issues to resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to partner with non-accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting for key corporate workstreams (leases, accruals, debt, IT expenditures).
• Assist with quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, schedules, and tie-outs.
• Ensure audit-ready documentation and financial statement support.
• Consolidate multiple entities and currencies, including foreign currency translation and intercompany eliminations.
• Coordinate monthly/quarterly close, lead close calls, monitor deadlines, and resolve bottlenecks.
• Administer Oracle, Blackline, and Lease Accelerator; troubleshoot system issues.
