Job summary

Harris County Administrative Office of the District Courts is hiring an Information Technology Technician to provide technical support for courtroom technology, end-user systems, and related infrastructure supporting daily court operations. You will diagnose and resolve issues in real time, including during active court proceedings, to ensure courtroom systems stay operational.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of four (4) to six (6) years of experience in technical support, IT support, or a related role.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and basic networking concepts.
• Experience with audio/video systems used in courtroom environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide help desk support to judges, court staff, and administrative personnel through onsite, remote, and telephone support.
• Support and maintain courtroom audio and video systems, including presentation equipment, video conferencing systems, and livestreaming technology.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, scanners, and other technology equipment.
• Diagnose technical problems across multiple systems and coordinate solutions, including escalation with internal IT staff and vendors.
• Provide basic training and guidance to users on software applications and technology systems used within the courts.
