Job summary

The United States District Court for the District of Oregon seeks a Courtroom Technology Specialist in the Portland Division. You will install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain A/V and courtroom technology systems, and provide training and documentation to empower court staff.

You will interact with judges, staff, attorneys, and the public during live proceedings. You will develop skills as AMX and Crestron programmers, refine control programs, and coordinate with vendors, ensuring

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent; qualified for CL-27/28 per federal rules.
Two years of specialized experience or bachelor’s degree and one of several academic achievements.
Specialized experience closely related to A/V, IT or courtroom technology.

Responsibilities

Plan, design, procure and install A/V, voice and data systems for courtrooms and conference rooms.
Document and specify A/V, digital recording, and teleconferencing systems.
Develop and refine control programs for AMX/Crestron systems.
Provide training and support for courtroom technology and resolve hardware issues.
Coordinate maintenance, warranty work, and vendor relations.
Serve as liaison between the Court and equipment vendors and technicians.
