Job summary

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia is seeking an audio/visual assistant based in Atlanta with travel to Gainesville, Newnan, and Rome courthouses.

You will support courtroom AV, conferencing, and related IT tasks, assist with help desk requests, and cross-train with IT staff to ensure broad technical coverage. Mandatory experience includes at least one year in AV or courtroom tech, strong troubleshooting skills, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• At least one year of specialized experience supporting, operating, maintaining, installing, or troubleshooting AV or courtroom technology.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to users and provide good customer service.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Respond to day-to-day AV support needs in multiple courthouses, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment.
• Test systems to ensure readiness for court proceedings and events.
• Coordinate with deputies and scheduling staff on equipment needs and connectivity.
• Assist with system upgrades and maintain inventories of AV components.
• Provide training and technical assistance to court staff and other users.
• Cross-train and provide backup IT support when courtroom AV is not required.
