Job summary

Atlanta Housing is seeking an Audio-Visual Technician to install, operate, and maintain AV systems across meetings, conferences, trainings, and events in Atlanta. You will work with end users, IT teams, facilities, vendors, and event staff to deliver reliable, high-quality AV services.

The role requires hands-on experience with projectors, displays, cameras, video-conferencing, and integration with IT infrastructure. A proactive approach and strong customer service are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in audio/video production.
• Strong understanding of audio and video equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills, especially with executives.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Dante Level III (preferred but not required)
• CTS (preferred but not required)
• Valid Georgia driver’s license for site visits

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, operate, and maintain AV equipment and systems.
• Set up and support projectors, LED/LCD displays, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, cameras, video-conferencing systems, control systems, and related AV equipment.
• Provide on-site technical support for meetings, conferences, presentations, training sessions, and special events.
• Troubleshoot and resolve audio, video, connectivity, signal, cabling, and equipment-related issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment testing, system checks, and basic repairs.
• Configure and operate video-conferencing and collaboration technologies.
• Support integration of AV systems with computers, networks, presentation systems, and other IT infrastructure.
• Diagnose signal-flow and connectivity problems and identify corrective actions.
• Assist with AV system installations, upgrades, moves, and equipment replacements.
• Maintain accurate equipment inventories, service records, configuration documentation, and operating procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment repairs, installations, and technical support when required.
• Provide users with basic training and guidance on AV equipment and systems.
• Ensure AV equipment is properly stored, secured, maintained, and available when needed.
• Follow established safety procedures and organizational standards during installation, operation, and maintenance activities.
• Stay current with emerging AV technologies, standards, and industry best practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
