Denton County is seeking a Deputy Constable to perform specialized law enforcement duties and clerical work serving civil papers in the county. The role includes serving warrants, summons, writs, and protective orders, as well as bailiff duties in the Justice of the Peace Court and related court support tasks.

The position requires a Texas Peace Officer certification, a valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain one within 90 days), and the ability to pass a criminal history check.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certification as a Texas Peace Officer required.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and be able to obtain a Texas license within 90 days.
• Must pass a State Criminal History background check.

Responsabilidades

• Serves legal papers including warrants, summons, writs, restraining orders, and other papers.
• Acts as court bailiff for Justice of the Peace Court, maintains order, and escorts inmates as needed.
• Conducts seizures, evictions, and impounds as required.
• Patrols assigned areas, directs traffic, issues citations, and responds to calls.
• Maintains records, files, and reports; handles warrants and court documents.
