Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents (couples) to reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and guiding 8–13 students in a family-style setting. Earn per-person salary with comprehensive benefits and a stable schedule: nine consecutive days on duty, then three off, with potential placement in a single student home over time.

The role requires two married spouses aged 27+, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty.
Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
Experience working or volunteering with youth.
Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students.

Responsibilities

Providing daily supervision and mentorship for students.
Managing household routines and student schedules.
Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
