Job summary

maman is a french bakery, café and lifestyle brand with locations across North America. We are seeking a Counter Server who welcomes guests, maintains pastry displays, and delivers warm, efficient service in a fast-paced environment.

As the first point of contact, you will handle the POS, process orders accurately, communicate menu details, and collaborate with FOH/BOH teams to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first mindset.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to support others.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and events.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Previous POS and cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming first point of contact and provide a positive guest experience.
• Accurately operate the POS system and process orders with cash handling.
• Follow steps of service and communicate menu details, including ingredients and allergies.
• Maintain the counter, pastry display, and retail area, ensuring cleanliness and stock.
• Support baristas and front-of-house during peak times and assist with inventory tasks.
• Collaborate with FOH and BOH teams to maintain high service standards.
