Job summary

maman Counter Service is looking for a friendly, guest-focused team member to join our French bakery and café family. You will be the first point of contact for guests at the counter and pastry display, delivering warm hospitality and accurate orders with a smile.

Help operate the POS system, maintain cleanliness, and support FOH/BOH teammates during busy periods while ensuring a memorable guest experience at a fast-paced café environment.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience with the ability to learn and retain menu items, ingredients, and allergy-related information.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first mindset.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the counter area, pastry display and retail products, ensuring they are clean, organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing at all times.
• Accurately process orders and payments while maintaining efficiency during high-volume periods.
• Ensure accuracy and proper packaging for third-party delivery (3PD) and catering orders, including timely dispatch.
• Communicate offerings clearly, with thorough menu knowledge including ingredients and allergy-related information, to support informed guest choices.
• Follow established steps of service and operational procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
• Support baristas and other front-of-house team members during peak times, including runner duties, pulling shots, and assisting with inventory tasks as needed.
