Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Counter Sales Representative in Indianapolis to serve as the face-to-face contact for customers. You will learn our product range, service will-call orders, and sell merchandise to walk-in customers while delivering outstanding customer service.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm, with pay starting at $20 per hour depending on experience. This role includes strong learning opportunities and a path toward growth within Graybar's employee ownership culture.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for customer service.
• Ability to communicate well with customers to understand their needs.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to work in a warehouse environment.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment and proper use of PPE.

Responsibilities

• Learn Graybar’s products through self-study, training classes, and on-the-job learning.
• Place, arrange and maintain merchandise in counter area.
• Sell merchandise to walk-in customers and manage will-call (pickup) orders.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Be active in the warehouse.
