Tropic Supply, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Counter Sales Representative for HVAC and Refrigeration. You will be the trusted advisor at the counter, helping technicians and contractors identify parts, answer product questions, and move fast without sacrificing accuracy.

This full-time, day shift role runs Monday through Friday, with a focus on customer relationships, accurate order entry, inventory support, and delivering an excellent in-person experience. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Experience at a parts counter, supply house, or trades-adjacent environment.
• Familiarity serving HVAC technicians, refrigeration contractors, mechanics, or similar trade professionals.
• Comfort with product lookups, order entry, and fast-paced counter operations
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and move materials safely
• Clear, professional, and patient communication under pressure

Responsibilities

• Help technicians and contractors identify the right part and solve product questions in real time, moving fast without sacrificing accuracy
• Enter sales orders, process transactions, and handle returns, credits, and warranty claims
• Keep the front end running cleanly even when volume is high and customers are stacked up
• Assist with stocking, inventory counts, and helping customers load product safely
• Build relationships that bring contractors back, treating every interaction as a chance to earn loyalty, not just close a transaction
