Job summary

Tropic Supply, Inc. is seeking a Counter Sales Professional in North Miami, FL. You will be the first contact for contractors entering the counter, helping identify parts, answer questions in real time, and ensure fast, accurate service.

You will enter sales orders, process transactions, and assist with stocking and loading duties in a busy counter/warehouse environment. A background in HVAC products is advantageous, and English/Spanish bilingualism is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience in a high-volume environment.
• Basic computer proficiency including data entry, order processing, and POS or inventory systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter sales orders and process transactions, returns, credits, and warranty claims.
• Keep front-end running cleanly even when volume is high.
• Assist with stocking and load product safely in counter/warehouse.
• Build relationships with contractors to earn loyalty and repeat business.

Your job is to make both count.Serve the trade with confidence. You help technicians and contractors identify the right part, solve product questions in real time, and move fast without sacrificing accuracy. HVAC and refrigeration product knowledge is a strong advantage, and we will build on what you already know.Manage the counter with precision. You enter sales orders, process transactions, handle returns, credits, and warranty claims, and keep the front-end running cleanly even when volume is high and customers are stacked up.Pull your weight on the floor. This is a hands-on environment. You assist with stocking, inventory counts, and helping customers load product safely. Bring those.Preferred QualificationsExperience at a parts counter, supply house, or trades-adjacent environmentFamiliarity serving HVAC technicians, refrigeration contractors, mechanics, or similar trade professionalsComfort with product lookups, order entry, and fast-paced counter operationsBilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentCustomer service experience in a hands-on, high-volume environmentBasic computer proficiency, including data entry, order processing, and point-of-sale or inventory systemsClear, professional, and patient communication under pressureStrong attention to accuracy and the judgment to ask when unsureSelf-directed work ethic with no need for constant supervisionPhysical RequirementsThis is an active, on-your-feet role in a counter and warehouse environment.
