Capital Electric is hiring a Counter Sales associate in Lynchburg, VA. You will sell products to customers, help with product selection, and build relationships to keep Capital Electric as the electrical distributor of choice.

This role requires handling calls, greeting customers, and supporting warehouse tasks as needed. The position offers opportunities to meet monthly sales goals, commissions, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred, but training provided.
• Good math, verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer and MS Office literate.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 70 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls.
• Greet walk-in customers.
• Assist customers with orders and product selection.
• Pull customer orders from warehouse and bring to counter.
• Prepare customer sales tickets and process charges.
• Promote and sell current promotions.
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed.
• Aim to meet monthly sales and gross margin targets.
• Maintain courtesy and professionalism with customers.
• Multi-task and prioritize daily tasks.
