Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable, results-driven Counter Sales Associate to serve plumbing and HVAC contractor customers. You will act as a trusted advisor, leveraging product expertise and strong problem-solving skills to help customers make informed purchasing decisions that align with Ferguson's sales strategy.

The role supports inventory management, order processing, and collaboration with Outside Sales. Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to obtain any required license.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers at the counter, by phone, and via email to understand needs and recommend solutions.
• Serve as a product expert on plumbing and HVAC products to guide decisions.
• Drive sales growth through upselling, cross-selling, and program promotions.
• Use catalogs, computer systems, and databases to locate parts and provide accurate information.
• Process transactions efficiently and maintain a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales Associates to support account growth.
• Manage special orders and follow up on status, back-orders, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain a professional counter environment and assist with inventory management.
