Job summary

The Mint Gaming Hall in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a Money Room team member to count and secure cash, transfer funds to the safe area, and maintain strict procedures. You will interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner and support teams across departments.

This role requires 21+ years of age, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work various shifts. Kentucky gaming/racing license is required by law.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in high-volume Money Room environments preferred.
• Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
• Internal candidates must meet Transfer and Promotion policy.
• Ability to work day, swing, late-night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Must obtain and maintain a Kentucky gaming/racing license.

Responsibilities

• Communicate operational information with Count Team Supervisor and other staff.
• Assist in floor duties and Money Room equipment operations.
• Complete collection and counting efficiently and accurately.
• Assist with transferring money to the safe area.
• Ensure the Money Room is clean before leaving.
• Handle all trolleys and equipment used during the collection and counting process.
• Ensure cash drop boxes and voucher cassettes are counted per procedures.
• Be responsible for all keys issued while on duty.
• Report equipment malfunctions for maintenance.
• Provide BIG service to internal guests and greet/interact with guests.
• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with staff, guests, and vendors.
• Maintain professionalism and a friendly demeanour in the workday.
• Assist with training/mentoring of new Team Members as requested.
• Maintain appearance standards per guidelines.
• Inform manager on duty of irregularities and unusual situations.
• Maintain calm and helpful demeanor in high-stress situations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Consistently communicates operational information with the Count Team Supervisor, other departmental staff, other supervisors, and managers.
• Assists in floor duties when needed and has a thorough knowledge of Money Room equipment operations.
• Completes the collection and count efficiently and accurately.
• Assists with transferring money to the safe area.
• Ensures the Money Room is clean before leaving.
• Handles all trolleys and equipment used during the collection and counting process with care.
• Ensures all cash drop boxes and voucher cassettes are collected and counted according to the correct operational procedures.
• Responsible and accountable for all keys issued while on duty.
• Reports any equipment malfunctions for further maintenance.
• Provides BIG Service to internal guests and ensures their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.
• Develops and maintains professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors.
• Maintains professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout the workday.
• Assists with training/mentoring of new Team Members as requested.
• Maintains all appearance standards in accordance with established uniform and appearance guidelines.
• Informs manager on duty of any irregularities and unusual situations when they occur.
• Keeps a friendly, calm, and helpful demeanor in high-stress situations and a continuously fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must be 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Previous experience working in high volume, fast-paced Money Room environment preferred.
• Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
• Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
