Job summary

Journey is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our long-term care team in Carrollton, GA. You will support the Occupational Therapist in delivering individualized therapy services to residents, aiming to improve independence, mobility, and quality of life in a compassionate, collaborative setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on interventions, documentation, adherence to care plans, and working with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for working in long-term care settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to enhance residents’ physical, emotional, and cognitive functioning.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, including exercises of daily living (ADL) training and adaptive equipment use.
• Document residents’ progress and communicate updates to the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote a safe and supportive environment while fostering meaningful relationships.
