Job summary

Journey seeks a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our long-term care team in Appling, GA. You’ll support the Occupational Therapist in delivering therapy services to residents to improve independence and quality of life.

Requirements include an OTA associate degree and current COTA licensure, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for working in long-term care settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to enhance residents’ physical, emotional, and cognitive functioning.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, including exercises of daily living (ADL) training and adaptive equipment use.
• Document residents’ progress and communicate updates to the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote a safe and supportive environment while fostering meaningful relationships with residents.
