Job summary

Journey is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our long-term care team. You will assist the Occupational Therapist in delivering personalized therapy services aimed at improving residents' independence and quality of life.

In this on-site role at our Georgia facility, you will perform hands-on interventions, ADL training, and progress documentation, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for working in long-term care settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to enhance residents’ physical, emotional, and cognitive functioning.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, including exercises, activities of daily living (ADL) training, and adaptive equipment use.
• Document residents’ progress and communicate updates to the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote a safe and supportive environment while fostering meaningful relationships with residents.
