Job summary

Journey in Statesboro, GA is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our long-term care facility. You will support the Occupational Therapist in delivering high-quality therapy services aimed at improving residents’ independence, mobility, and quality of life.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in OTA, current GA COTA licensure, and strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for working in long-term care settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to enhance residents’ physical, emotional, and cognitive functioning.
• Provide hands‑on therapeutic interventions, including exercises of daily living (ADL) and adaptive equipment use.
• Document residents’ progress and communicate updates to the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote a safe and supportive environment while fostering meaningful relationships with residents.
