Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support our rehabilitation team in Florida. You will carry out treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and document patient progress in weekly notes.

Experience in long-term or geriatric care is preferred. Collaborating with all disciplines, you will deliver patient-centered care with professional conduct and punctuality, supporting strong outcomes and quality service.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the OT.
• Provide treatment by adhering to goals developed by the OT.
• Provide feedback to the supervising OT via documentation as required by facility policy.
