Mercy in Illinois is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to assist with initial patient assessments, document progress, and administer modalities under department policies. You will help maintain patient records and participate in departmental education while delivering care across age groups from neonatal to geriatric.

The role requires graduation from an accredited OTA program, current or eligible licensure, and a BLS certification.

Formación

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupation Therapist Assistant program.
• Current license for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for licensure.
• BLS certification required and current before independent patient care.
• One year experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with initial patient assessment and continue care per policy.
• Document course of care, progress notes, and treatment needs.
• Administer modalities, exercise regimes, or procedures per standards.
• Maintain progress notes and departmental records.
• Participate in promoting education within the department.
• Demonstrate knowledge of care across neonatal to geriatric ages.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the inpatient supervisor.
